The food here was also noteworthy. It was a set menu and everything was brought out beautifully. The portions were large and the flavours on point!

The service here was exceptional. A special mention goes out to Bhagya, who attended to us during our stay. No request was too large to handle and he made our stay perfect! Thank you!

  Homely boutique villa - We have returned to this boutique villa countless times over four years. We have come with friends sometimes and had very memorable holidays here.

The boutique is very minimalist... read more chic in design yet very cosy. The staff are super friendly and look after guests with excellent care. The food is excellent and we sometimes ask for special meals and are never disappointed. You can even ask for alfresco dining and the staff will arrange it on the beach, depending on bookings.

The ocean is about 150 feet in front of the rooms and it's very swimmable here without having to go far. However the beach stretches endlessly and there's plenty of entertainment for the whole family a short walk away.

The pool offers a great alternative to the sea at 50meters distance ?. Staff and manager are friendly, helpful and very service minded. What was a great surprise is the food. Each evening different choice of options and all really well prepared and just suburb.
By far the best hotel we stayed in during our 2,5 weeks in Sri Lanka.

Our next trip to Hikkaduwa would definitely be to here. With Covid, tourism is still limited and makes the situation challenging for all hotels. The Roman Beach hotel deserves many guests, so hopefully this review helps to guide people to spend their holiday here!
