The pool offers a great alternative to the sea at 50meters distance ?. Staff and manager are friendly, helpful and very service minded. What was a great surprise is the food. Each evening different choice of options and all really well prepared and just suburb.
By far the best hotel we stayed in during our 2,5 weeks in Sri Lanka.

Our next trip to Hikkaduwa would definitely be to here. With Covid, tourism is still limited and makes the situation challenging for all hotels. The Roman Beach hotel deserves many guests, so hopefully this review helps to guide people to spend their holiday here!

Another aspect needed to be highly recommended at Roman Beach is the food. The chef of Roman Beach simply works miracles. Everybody staying there shouldn't neither miss out on the local style rice & curry nor the Sri Lankan breakfast.

Last but not least - enjoy the pool! It is nicely set - allowing to enjoy calm and cool water while watching the raving ocean just a few tiny meters away.

RB offers a really super location, a large pool, and a team of eager-to-please staff waiting on you. The food is really nice, and the chef will discuss your menu options with you after each meal. Their seafood is excellent. RB is slap bang on the beach so you only need to walk a few steps to get onto the long beach.
